How do I install Guardvio?+
Open the Chrome Web Store, search for Guardvio, and click 'Add to Chrome'. The Extension will install in seconds and start protecting you immediately — no account required.
Guardvio is not blocking a site — what should I do?+
Click the Guardvio icon in your toolbar, open Settings → Blocklist, and add the domain manually. You can also switch to Strict shield level for tighter defaults, and email us so we can add the site to our global list.
I forgot my Guardvio password. How do I reset it?+
For your protection, the password is stored locally and cannot be reset remotely. To reset, uninstall and reinstall the Extension. If you set up an accountability partner, they can help you unlock it.
Does Guardvio work in Incognito mode?+
Yes. Go to chrome://extensions, find Guardvio, click 'Details', and enable 'Allow in Incognito'. Guardvio will then filter incognito windows too.
Guardvio is slowing down a page. Help?+
This is rare (overhead is under 4ms). Try disabling and re-enabling the Extension, and update Chrome to the latest version. If the issue persists, email us with the URL.
How do I uninstall Guardvio?+
Right-click the Guardvio icon in your toolbar and choose 'Remove from Chrome'. If you enabled tamper-proof mode, you will be prompted for your password first.
Do you offer refunds?+
Guardvio has a free forever plan with no account or payment required. There is nothing to refund.
